My obsession is your gain

In the shower, whilst trying to sleep, jogging, eating breakfast, driving the car... no matter what I'm doing, I can't help pondering my latest writing project.

My brain fizzes and crackles with ideas in the most unlikeliest of places, and I love it!

People on buses give me funny looks at traffic lights when they look down into my car and see me wildly scribbling on my notepad before the lights change.

People down the street veer away when they hear me exclaim out loud about an idea that's just popped into my head. I guess they think I'm a bit crazy... and funnily enough, they'd be right.

I'm crazy about thinking, and wondering, and tossing ideas around - it's amazing how much fun you can have inside your own head.

The thing is, this is the really interesting part of my job. I don't want to stop thinking about my work just because I'm not sitting at my desk or doing 'designated' brainstorming.

I live, eat, and breathe what I do, and I couldn't be happier.

If I charged you for all this extra brainstorming, you'd be up for hundreds maybe thousands of dollars for the amount of time I spend thinking about you and your project. I'm a lateral thinker, and my brain has its own weird way of coming up with original ideas... Problem is, you never know where inspiration will strike!

Unlike most copywriters who charge you for the generation of ideas, (or concepting as it's formally known), I just don't feel comfortable billing you for the time I spend thinking away from my desk.

I spend too many hours doing it.

I couldn't stop myself if I wanted to (I've tried meditation to switch my brain off so I can get some peace now and again, but no dice).

So my obsession is your gain.

I only charge you for brainstorming I actually do at my desk...

...the rest is free.

Let's make the most of it.

Like any smart fox taking a break, I'm always dreaming up amazing ideas even though I may look completely oblivious!
